Remember when I said this wasn’t over? Yeah, I decided I’m enjoying this so much, I’m going to keep it going.
Now, I don’t think I have it in me to drink 365 beers in 365 days, which was my initial idea for this blog, but I’m going to do a couple a week at least.
So happy new year and all…and here we go! On with the review….
So how does one ring in the new year when it feels like summer??? Grill some steaks, of course, after you slow smoke them for an hour or two over some mesquite. And what pairs well with this activity?
This beer right here. Wow. Such a creamy, full bodied. As far as red lagers go, this is an excellent choice. It’s smooth, velvety texture delivers a subtle and beautifully alive flavor with an absolutely perfect balance of hops and malt. There is not a real strong hoppiness on this thing, which means it has a very low IBU score at 24 and when you combine that with a 4.5%ABV and the crisp, clean taste – the result is a VERY drinkable red lager that will absolutely have you coming back for more.
